FAQs
DELIVERY TIMES & POSTAGE
I aim to post items within a week of the order being placed; I will email you to check if there is a preference of what day they arrive, or you can get in touch if you need the item by a specific date.
IS THE JEWELLERY SOLID SILVER OR GOLD? IS IT HALLMARKED?
All my work is made with solid Sterling Silver (925). All pieces above the legal weight threshold are hallmarked at Edinburgh Assay Office.
HOW TO CLEAN MY JEWELLERY
To keep your jewellery looking clean for longer I suggest you keep it in the packaging provided. All my items can be polished clean with a silver cloth. Please take care when polishing chains and cables as they can kink.
RETURNS
I hope you will be delighted with your purchase, but just in case you are not fully satisfied and would like to return the piece, here is my policy:
All returns must be returned within 10 days, by Royal Mail special delivery. The return postage is the responsibility of the customer.
Returns will not be accepted after this time and goods must be in their original condition. A replacement item can be selected to the value of the returned piece or you can opt for a refund.
I have made every effort to convey the products as accurately as possible. Products have been described with sizes and lengths where appropriate and accurate colour options. As every item is hand made to order there can be slight variations from item to item. Colours and images may vary slightly according to the device or monitor that they are viewed on.
Items which have been damaged through misuse will not be refunded.
REPAIRS & REPLACEMENT EARRINGS
I am happy to match and replace lost earrings for half the cost of a pair or earrings. Hopefully your jewellery wont need any repairs, but I understand that sometimes accidents happen and I am happy to have a look at any damaged pieces.
COMMISSIONS - HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE
This can vary on the size and complexity of the commission, but one of the first things I will ask is if there is a deadline for me to work to. Please allow around a month if you are thinking of ordering a bespoke piece of work.
RING SIZES
I use UK ring sizes and offer the standard sizes of K – T online, please select ‘Other’ and email with your size if it is smaller or larger, or if you require a half size. If you are unsure of your size, most jewellery shops should have a ring sizer, or they can be purchased online.
BANGLE SIZES
To measure your hand for a bangle you need to take the measurement from the widest part of your hand when it’s made as narrow as possible by tucking your thumb into your fingers, or if you have a bangle that fits you well you could measure the inside diameter of that bangle. Alternatively you could have your measurement taken at a local jewellery store.
If you have any questions or doubts on how to measure your hand please email me at ellenamythorpe@btinternet.com
